On December 10th, we will host a panel discussion with our panelists covering new rules for income taxes, qualified charitable distributions, and donor-advised funds. We hope you will join us for our last event of the year! 

Shell Berry - Shell Knox Berry is the President and CEO of the Community Foundation for the CSRA. Shell joined the Community Foundation in 2015 and since that time, she, her team of professional staff, and the Board have strengthened its mission to engage, inform, and inspire donors and nonprofits to build a stronger and more vibrant community. Under her leadership, the organization has grown from just over $60 million in assets to over $175 million, has received $164 million in charitable gifts, has made over $130 million in grants to a wide array of charitable needs and has added more than $47 million in net value through its investment portfolio.

Steve Sanders - Steve has been a member of Fulcher Hagler’s business, estates, and tax group since he joined the firm in 2011. His practice areas include estate planning, estate administration and probate matters, business organizations, nonprofit and charitable organizations, business succession planning, business sales and acquisitions, and property matters. He served as President of the Augusta Bar Association in 2021 and currently serves as Chairman of the Richmond County Republican Party. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Fiduciary Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia and a member of the Advocacy Committee for the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce. He has served as President of the Friends of the Augusta Library and as a Trustee for the Augusta-Richmond County Public Library System. He has also served as a Trustee for Historic Augusta, Inc. and was a member of the University of Georgia Board of Visitors from 2018 to 2020. He is a member of the Leadership Georgia Class of 2023 and serves on the Charles Yates Scholarship Committee for the Georgia State Golf Foundation.

Tommy Jones - Tommy is the Managing Director of Tax, Estate Planning and Business Valuations at Jones, Jones, Davis & Associates, CPA, P.C. Providing clients with excellent service in achieving their financial goals is Tommy’s primary professional purpose. Tommy has volunteered with the Georgia Society of CPAs serving many years as a member of the Estate Tax and Gift Tax Committee. In addition, he has also been a speaker numerous times on the topic of Estate and Income Tax Planning for the high-income individual. His designations include: Certified Public Accountant, Accredited in Business Valuations by the AICPA, Professional Financial Specialist, Certified Financial Planner and Certified Valuation Analyst.
